I find it difficult not to "skim" the reading as most of the writing is familiar. Familiarity breeds contempt? There's a thought I'd be well served to explore further.
Of particular interest to me in this reading is Matthew 8:33-34
Jesus casts out demons which causes the herd of pigs to "commit suicide". The villagers who heard about this asked Jesus to leave for fear of their own herds. How often do we see God work and aren't accepting of his miracles because it would cost us something?
